To the Walt Whitman High School Wildcats
  • Mr. Jim Polansky, Assistant Superintendent for Personnel & District ServicesSouth Huntington Union Free School District
  • Dr. Scott Muller, Interim Assistant Principal of Walt Whitman High School
  • Noelle, Samantha & Matt, our three student representatives
. . . .for the amazing tour.  We were in awe of the student/teacher information technology that has been incorporated into the classroom, as well as the security systems for the school.  It was also apparent that all of you gave a lot of consideration to what should be included in the tour. Thank you very much for the experience, and for your thoughtfulness.  We are planning a 45th reunion for 2015 and will look forward to seeing you again . . . . . .

Sincerely,
The Class of 1970

Thank you to our Volunteers and our Classmates' Guests

Nicole Lustberg, Sheila Berezuk and Doug Murphy (Class of 1971) for managing the reception table and greeting all of our Classmates.

And thank you to the spouses and guests that accompanied Classmates Saturday evening. All of you were very good sports.

Thank you to all of our Classmates

The past eight months, as we repeatedly combed through the yearbook, some of us looked at the photos as adults looking at children. And we hoped that all of you were healthy and well. . . . .

We wanted to thank all of you for making this Reunion so much fun; from the tour of our school Friday afternoon, through the dinner dance on Saturday, and sharing breakfast with you on Sunday morning. Many of you traveled a considerable distance to join us. Many Classmates said this was . . . . "the happiest reunion that we have ever attended."

We are considering some options for posting everyone's Class Reunion photos.  We will give you an update soon.

Our warmest best wishes,

Terry, Laura, Janet,
Charie, Richard, Gary, and John

Save the date and, if you are so inclined . . . save your name badges please.

"I would like to express my gratitude to all of you who devoted so much of your time and energy to making our class reunion such an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone. I haven't had so much fun for a long time. Three days of partying and I am so tired (really wiped out) but I am feeling so great..I regressed back to a time when life was so different, harder in many ways, but endearing to me, and formative to my adult life..Although we all have some  regrets about our youth, how we would have done SOMETHING different, I don't think I would want to change too much..I'm happy in my own skin, happy to have had you all around me during those years, because without all of you, I would not be who I am ..You are all an important part of my past and I will always hold you all close to my heart..Thank you again..Bravo for a job well done..And best of luck to you..See you at the next reunion....Warmest regards,  Pat Brzustoski Goldschrafe"

"Terry,

I want to thank you and all those who worked so hard to make the class reunion a great success. I had the time of my life as I'm sure everyone else did.

You are still the sweet girl I met from my first days in Oakwood. The  fun memories with our friends from those days will never fade !   Give my regards to Eddie.   Love you always,  Anthony [Guerriero]"

"To all -

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you that worked so hard to make our 40th reunion a success.  I had a wonderful time (although I messed up on the start time and came after 8:00pm instead of 7:00pm - I'm still flakey at 58).  You are all terrific and I know you spent many hours so we all could get together for a really great weekend.  I regret that I did not get to say hi to Laurie Carino Saturday night (how did I miss you Laurie???) I am sure there were others that I did not have time to speak with as well (like Kevin Burke)  - but that just shows what a great turnout it was.  I took some pictures which I will upload as soon as I can and share with all.  Hope we do it again - and if you need additional help - call on me.

Thanks again!!!!  Love to all of you - Karen (Moscow) Chrin"

Seven minutes to put one photo into the newsletter. . . . and 15 minutes to post one photo to the website).
